ROMA – Per loro non è in previsione alcun corso di perfezionamento presso la prestigiosa scuola culinaria del Gambero Rosso. Quel seminario costato ai contribuenti 35 mila euro, che impegnò per settimane nel 2009 (erano altri tempi) i nove cuochi di palazzo Giustiniani, dove alloggia il presidente del Senato Renato Schifani e i palati sono evidentemente raffinatissimi, se lo potranno sognare. In compenso, i camerieri del ristorante di palazzo Madama, (...) , sprofondato ormai in una crisi nera, avranno tutto il tempo per dedicarsi in libertà agli hobby preferiti: da gennaio, per loro, (...) , c’è la cassa integrazione, se non addirittura la disoccupazione. Almeno se è vero che ieri sono partite le prime nove lettere di licenziamento che hanno provocato una infuocata assemblea.


Sono queste le uniche vere vittime dell’aumento dei prezzi deciso dai questori dopo le polemiche seguite nei mesi scorsi alla pubblicazione del menù proletario di palazzo Madama. Che recitava come segue. Risotto con rombo e fiori di zucca: 3 euro e 34 centesimi. Carpaccio di filetto con salsa al limone: 2 e 76. Prosciutto e melone: 2 e 33. Bistecca di manzo: 2 e 68. Costi «lievissimi», per usare il termine impiegato in una recente consulenza dallo studio legale Ciampoli nella quale è descritta la sconcertante situazione, a carico dei senatori e dei loro ospiti. Ma pesantissimi, al contrario, per i contribuenti. Sui quali gravava l’87% del prezzo di ogni singola pietanza: i commensali non pagavano che il 13,3 per cento. Per i piatti più raffinati si poteva arrivare al 21,77 per cento.


Ecco quindi che il filetto di bue a 5 euro e 53 era quasi sempre esaurito. E le lamelle di spigola con radicchio e mandorle, a 3 euro e 34, andavano via come l’acqua fresca. E non perché quel ristorante fosse ridotto ormai a una specie di trattoria «dove il pesce non è mai fresco e i cibi sono spesso precotti», come si lamentò l’ex sottosegretario Responsabile Riccardo Villari con la trasmissione di Radio 24 «La Zanzara»: auspicando quindi l’apertura a palazzo Madama di un restaurant tre stelle Michelin adeguato a una clientela più esigente. La spiegazione sta nell’aumento dei prezzi. Dal 13,3 per cento del costo per le pietanze «standard» si è passati con un balzo al 50 per cento. E dal 21,77 per cento di quelle più «pregiate» improvvisamente al 75 o al 100 per cento, (...) , secondo i casi. Leggere il nuovo listino e scoprirsi di colpo micragnosi, per gli habitué della mensa è stato tutt’uno.


Ma lasciamo parlare i consulenti della ditta appaltatrice Gemeazcusin, lo studio Campoli: «A seguito della decisione assunta dal collegio dei senatori questori, con la quale sono state sensibilmente incrementate le quote percentuali a carico degli utenti del servizio, si è verificata una eccezionale diminuzione dell’attività del ristorante dei senatori, sia con riguardo all’affluenza, ridottasi di oltre il 50%, sia con riferimento ai quantitativi di pasti somministrati, ridottasi per il numero di pietanze, sia con riguardo alla tipologia di pasti di tipologia superiore e pregiata la cui incidenza è diventata marginale, mentre in precedenza la pressoché totalità dei pasti serviti appartenevano a tali tipologie».


Se prima il ristorante era sempre pieno zeppo e commensali si abbuffavano di bistecche al sangue e filetti di orata in crosta di patate, dopo l’aumento è come se i rari clienti avessero deciso tutti contemporaneamente di mettersi a dieta. Riso all’inglese, pasta in bianco, insalatina…


Non c’è forse la crisi? Non incombe il taglio delle indennità secondo una ancora non meglio definita «media europea»? E la riduzione della diaria? La minaccia di togliere dalla busta paga il contributo per il portaborse? Il passaggio dei vitalizi al sistema contributivo? Già. Come stupirsi poi se a qualcuno viene un travaso di bile… L’onorevole del Pdl Mario Pepe, per esempio, (...) , schiuma letteralmente rabbia. «Ridurre deputati e senatori alla fame vuol dire rendere il parlamento schiavo dei poteri forti», si è sfogato con Monica Guerzoni del Corriere .


Peccato che mentre il ristorante del Senato si svuotava, e i suoi ricavi subivano un crollo del 70%, i locali nelle strade intorno a palazzo Madama registravano un formidabile incremento del giro d’affari. Dopo il danno, quindi, anche la beffa. Beffa doppia.


Perché lo stesso giorno nel quale una ventina di camerieri della ditta appaltatrice finiranno in cassa integrazione, faranno il loro ingresso in Senato sette nuovi dirigenti appena assunti. Il cui costo compenserà il risparmio ottenuto per il ristorante. Lo compenserà abbondantemente, sia ben chiaro.

Sixty-two percent of Americans want lower troop levels, the poll found, compared with 24 percent that want troop levels kept the same and 7 percent that want them increased. The percentage of Americans calling for increased troop levels in the country has sharply decreased from the 34 percent who wanted that in January 2009, when Mr. Obama was sworn into office.
